A DIVE INTO THE REVOLUTION

As our neighborhood of SOBECA , The Camp, and The Lab grows and evolves into THE place in Costa Mesa to shop, dine and explore, we have been privileged to support the latest addition to The Camp, Jessica & Davin Waite. 

One afternoon, Jessica wandered into our shop and shared some of her vision for The Plot. Having the opportunity to learn about their mission truly moved us. Chef Davin's training is rooted in Japanese teachings which resonated with Mellowist's offerings. In a collaborative effort we brought the textures of Japanese clay and Joshua Tree vibrations together.

An award winning restaurant rocking in Oceanside, Carlsbad, and Costa Mesa, California, The Plot features delicious, satisfying and sometimes boundary-pushing food that is completely plant-based, while celebrating zero waste practices. They are a conscientious business with operations that benefit their team, the health of our communities, and the future of our planet. 

Jessica & Davin's efforts have won them several city and county level awards for zero waste & sustainability. A true revolution is taking place. Their philanthropy and dedication to Southern California communities for sustainability and for women in business is highly celebrated and embraced.

Along with the Plot, Jessica & Davin started their imprint in the restaurant business with 'Wrench & Rodent' in Oceanside which is not to be missed, as well as their partnership in 'Shoots Fish & Beer, a California Hawaiian spot located in Carlsbad near their Plot Express location.
