'Magic Mushrooms' Botanical Postcard
A postcard featuring original botanical illustrations of these sacred psychoactive fungi, five of the most significant (aka most commonly consumed) species of the genus Psilocybe, colloquially known as "magic mushrooms".
These mushrooms have been used by shamans and healers in ceremonies and rituals across the world, as well as by your average person in general, throughout human history. These humble fungi possibly play a greater role in our evolution, our consciousness, intelligence, religious, and spiritual development than we fully realize. (If you are interested in more information on this topic, check out the works of people such as Terrence McKenna and R. Gordon Wasson, and go ahead and read about the "Stoned Ape" theory, and maybe even the "Sacred Mushroom and the Cross" while you're at it...)
Illustrated originally in watercolor.
